DESCRIPTION

Execution of the civil works for the 50 MW Logrosán biomass project.
The scope of work included:

The 500 m2 workshop and warehouse, with a steel structure and insulated panel roof and enclosure.

The water intake for the plant's process, which is obtained from the Ruecas Reservoir, located 8.5 kilometers from the plant. The trench includes the DN280 mm PN 16 intake pipe, with elbows, vents, and drains, and the necessary manholes. A 240 mm2 medium-voltage circuit is included to power the pumps at the reservoir intake. Two fiber optic circuits are installed for communication between the plant and the intake house.

The intake works include the underwater installation of the pump set and a ballasted section of pipe on the reservoir embankment.

The discharge works, gravity conduit to the Carbonilla Stream, with 500 mm corrugated PVC pipe.

Along the route of these pipelines, a directional borehole is being drilled to cross the Cubilar River, and several horizontal piles are being driven to cross roads and paths.

The project's 5,500 m2 evaporation pond is waterproofed with high-density polyethylene sheeting and drainage geocomposite.

The civil works for the process area, including the shovel workshop, screening towers, biomass conveyors, silos, biomass reception, fine waste storage, chip pit, electrical building, walking feeder, turbine and its surroundings, condenser, waste building, scales, and buried networks (electrical, PCI, water, grounding). The above has involved 18,750 m2 of formwork, 5,500 m2 of self-supporting sheet pile wall, 1,120 tons of corrugated steel and 8,175 m3 of concrete.
